If you want to quit smoking follow these recommendations: • Change your daily actions: Going to work use a different roads, drink tea instead of coffee, eat breakfast in a different place. • Drink a glass of cool water. • Suck on a hard candy. • Take several calming deep breaths. Try to relax, close your eyes and clear your mind of extraneous thoughts, picture all of the unhealthy toxins from cigarettes leaving your body as you continue to be smoke-free. • Drink a cup of soothing herbal tea or hot cocoa. • Go for a walk or get busy with a task. Walking will also help alleviate feelings of stress and frustration that accompany smoking withdrawal. • Take a shower. • Avoid spicy and sugary foods.
