Problem Drinking

alcoholism  Alcohol is a common used drug all over the world. Problem drinking is one of the most serious problems in modern society. Still, there is no standard definition for misuse and heavy use of alcohol. It causes physical, social or moral harm to the person who drinks.

Alcoholism can include financial problems, the loss of work, conflicts with friends and family, public disorder or even divorce.  The drinker can lose the respect from others who may see the problem as self-inflicted and easily avoided. The moral and social harm is highly subjective and therefore differs from individual to individual. Alcohol dependence affects not only the addicted but can profoundly impact the family members around   those people. Also children of alcohol dependents can be affected even after they are grown; the behaviors commonly exhibited by such children are a topic of research.

Alcohol is a very harmful drug. Alcoholics are physically and psychologically dependent. The physiological dependency can be seen in the high tolerance that drinkers develop - that is, the need to drink more and more to obtain the same effects again and again.
