Ingredients for Addiction
As a rule, when people hear the phrase food addiction, they do not usually think that they have fallen victim. Even if they do not exhibit the classic symptoms of an addict in any other sense of the word, probability is you are addicted to one of the following items in the foods we eat. You may not really realize it, but cravings for these foods could be a symptom of the addictions.

Let's look through some of the primary ingredients that people can become addicted to. No definite science tells us what foods are addictive, and what makes them that way, but we have proof that the following are most surely addictive.

Sugar
All of us know its sweet goodness. And lots of us love it. Sugar gives us a short burst of energy that helps us to move, think and feel that it is actually working. Sugar presents itself in lots of the foods we eat, and beverages we drink. The processed sugars give us energy, and when we are going through withdrawal, we feel tired, and grumbling. Although it is hard to avoid, steering away from sweets, and going for 100% juice instead of juice drinks will help you stay away from the sugar. If you have a need of a sweet boost, consider things that use artificial sweeteners. They are not meant to replace sugar, for the reason that they really aren't much better for you, but they will work in a pinch from time to time.

Caffeine
Coffee and soda drinks give you a boost when you are tired, and assists in keeping you awake to get work done. The largest part of us uses it every day, and typically experience headaches and fatigue without it. This is a signal that the body has become dependent on the chemical to work optimally. Though, a little caffeine here or there is not going to hurt. So, more or less, just practice restraint. If you drink a cup or two of coffee or soda each day, it's not bad (except the extra pounds the soda will pile on) in opposition to drinking three pots of coffee or a case of soda each day.

Carbohydrates
They are everywhere in the foods we eat. In reality, lots of people will object about carb addiction. When we talk about carb addiction, we are simply saying that your body will become excessively dependent on them. It doesn’t mean that you will go crazy without some garlic bread and spaghetti. The best measure you can take here, as with any other food, is to eat it in moderation. The reason we become addicted to carbohydrates, is the same reason we become addicted to sugars. The matter is they give us a boost of energy that we use to become more productive for a short period of time. Then, we crave them as our body gets used to them being around in excess.
